Bay Trail Segment: Closure of Fruitvale-High Street Gap
A Measure DD Project
Project Description
 This
project closed a long-standing gap in the Bay Trail between the
Fruitvale and High Street Bridges. The new trail segment is partly
pier-supported and crosses two private parcels. At right, note
the existing fence blocking access. The new segment extends
from the position of this fence (now removed) to the new Alameda Avenue
segment.
 The project closed a .1 mile Bay Trail gap.

Development. Measure DD bonds:

Maintenance. The project will be maintained the City
of Oakland with funds provided by the
Landscaping
and Lighting Assessment District.
